CENTRAL LINE

DISTANCE: 22 miles

A lovely flat route which skirts the entirety of Swansea Bay. A largely off-road route, suitable for all users of any ability. You will be suprised how easy it is to travel between major centres.

SWANSEA VALLEY

Distance: 18 miles

Follow Swansea’s old canal, railway and river routes to discover its industrial past and regenerated present.

A fast off-road route that provides an excellent connection through scenic Swansea Valley, avoiding all major hold up points.

BONYMAEN JUNCTION

Distance: 0.5 miles

A small but crucial link providing direct access from Bonymaen to the Swansea Enterprise Park and the Swansea Valley route.

CITY CENTRAL

Distance: 14 miles

The most direct route from Swansea City Centre to its communities in the north. 

 This route is predominantly on-road.

MANSELTON

Distance: 2 miles

An excellent route to serve the communities of Brynhyfryd, Manselton and Hafod, linking directly with the city centre.

This route has a mix of cycle lanes and quiet roads, bypassing a number of busy traffic routes.

CROSS VALLEY

Distance: 7 miles

The major mainly on-road east-west route to the north of Swansea Bay, providing connectivity to many residential communities.

A mix of on and off-road cycle routes.

CLYNE LINE

Distance: 9.5 miles

A beautiful route running from the rural town of Pontarddulais in the north through Govesend and Gorseinon to Gowerton.

This is a mix of on and off-road routes.

COCKLESHELL

Distance: 2.5 miles

A route which skirts the salt marshes of North Gower providing a route from Penclawdd to Gowerton with good off-road and on-road sections.

NEATH VALLEY

Distance: 16 miles

Starts at the entrance to the beautiful waterfall walks. This commuter route links Glynneath to Neath and beyond to the coast.  It is predominantly on-road; however traffic calming and advanced warning measures are prevalent on parts of the route.

There is an alternative route along the Neath Canal from Neath to Briton Ferry, avoiding the A474 for road bikes.

AFAN

Distance: 8.5 miles

This is a fast route going through the countryside of the Afan Valley.  It provides a vital link between the valley communities and Port Talbot, linking Aberavon to Afan Forest Park and villages beyond.  The majority of this route is off road making this ideal for users of all abilities.

DULAIS VALLEY

Distance: 7 miles

This route is largely on quiet roads, providing a link from Seven Sisters to Aberdulais and connecting to the Neath Valley Line.

BRYNCOCH CONNECTION

Distance:  6 miles

Largely on-road route linking Neath to Pontardawe via Bryncoch.  Connecting to the Neath Valley Line and Swansea Valley Trail allows cycle commuting to destinations in both valleys.

SKEWEN LINK

Distance:  2 miles

A short link line from Coed Darcy to Neath via Skewen. This route is on-road providing a link to the Cross Valley Link, Neath Valley Line and Bryncoch Connection.

MUMBLES MILE

Distance: 2.7miles

A beautiful route along the foreshore, following the line of the former Mumbles Tram, linking the communities of Blackpill, West Cross and Mumbles.

An off-road route for users of all abilities, linking to the Central Line.
